SG Contracting completed the Woodward Academy Math and Science Building on time and under budget. The facility consists of ground up 43,000 square feet $10,000,000 Math and Science Building and the renovation of the existing Carlos Science Center. Project attributes of the three story building are math classrooms, state of the art science laboratories. A university style lecture hall, planetarium, and college counseling offices. The project was built in the middle of a functioning campus environment. The project contains several elements which contribute to LEED credits such as geothermal wells, a reflective PVC roof, Commissioning of HVAC systems and recycling of construction waste. Products used in construction are tracked to include a high recyclable and regional material content as well as low VOC content. This project received LEED Gold certification.
